On Sunday, after another leisurely breakfast, we left Alexandria and drove back to Cairo. We made a couple of shopping stops at a an Egyptian cotton store that sold clothes, towels, robes and bedding all made of out Egyptian cotton. And we made one final market stop at the Khan Khalil Bazar for final souvenir bargaining. This was indeed the market of markets!
Our lunch stop was at the Peking Nile Restaurant where we got to try Egyptian Chinese Food. It was similar to the fare in the states and the restaurant was actually a small boat on the Nile!
After last looks at both the Nile and pyramids, we returned to the same hotel where we started our trip. We have a very, very early 1:30 AM departure so most of us ate an early dinner, packed showered and went to bed.
